nike x dsm air superfly launch

novembre lounge

On the occasion of the official release of the NIKE x DSM Air Superfly, the Novembre LOUNGE returns in a new iteration: conceived as a retreat from the spectacle of sport into its quieter, inner states: breath, thought, repetition, and rest. Translated through sound, space, and print, this installation offers a sensorial counterpoint within Dover Street Market Paris.

At a time when culture shifts away from algorithmic overexposure and toward smaller, self-curated enclaves – chat groups, pirate radio, niche print media – the Novembre LOUNGE creates a sheltered commons inside the store: a space to feel, listen, and reflect.

At the heart of the installation is Inner Tracks, an enveloping soundscape that immerses visitors in the physical and emotional rhythms of sport. Runners Cassy Nsimba and Natacha Drif lend the intimate textures of breath and heartbeat. Egyptian-French Mona Varichon contributes subtle audio interventions, featuring songs by women she admires and sampled fragments played on her French horn:an unsung instrument often described as the one closest to the human voice. Complementing this, virtuoso percussionist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi introduces trance-like hand drumming, folding intricate rhythms into the spatial audio environment.
